My intent in this series is that we would be owners of Jesus Christ's vision to intentionally and actively love people right where they are, leading them to be HIS fully dynamic disciples. An owner of Jesus’ vision gets after it, builds it, gives to it, and leads to it. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are named to be owners of His vision. We get to pursue His vision together. How incredible is that. 2008 began with the series Illuminate, with the objective of leading each one of us to live openly as a passioned follower of Jesus Christ. A passioned follower is a disciple of Jesus Christ. As disciples we actively live our belief, our obedience, our love and our serve. We are gathering momentum as passioned followers of Christ to love HIM and to love people by meeting them right where they are and leading them to the One who has changed our lives. Philippians 3:12-14, from the Message, tells us this: 12I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
