Love is amazing and powerful! Every one of us want so desperately to be loved. I can remember as a kid, going to a camp in New Mexico, where we panned for gold. We spent hours excited about the riches we would find. Some of us found what we thought was gold. It turned out to be fools gold. Bummer!
In fact many of us will go or have gone through great extremes to find love. Some may believe that love is elusive and untouchable. Some of us have been deeply hurt in our search for love. Some may believe that we are not loveable. Some seem to have found it. Truths I have learned about love is that it is mysterious, it is hard, and we need help in finding it and sustaining it.
As modeled by Jesus Christ, Love is the action towards all others that say “you are of great value and are more important than me.”
Friends, the world works hard to pan for love, like it is gold. Love came to us first through Jesus Christ. We are given the mandate to give that love away to others. The more we engage in loving people, the more we will be filled with love.
Together we are on a journey to give our love away. You will love it.
