Moving From Sex to Sexuality is a series designed to teach to the truth and understanding that we can live in our God created sexuality. On Sunday mornings we will together seek God’s Word for His truth regarding our sexuality. Monday nights will focus upon key sexual issues within today’s culture.
Because, culture focuses inappropriately upon sex only as our identity, which has created significant confusion, we are teaching to form and reform our understanding of our God created sexuality. Our objectives are 1) to create environments where parents and children can talk together about our God created sexuality; and 2) we also want to create environments where adults (single and married) are given a truth focused framework in which to understand, discuss and live in our God created sexuality
The Sunday morning format for this series will look like this:
- What is God’s Plan?: God created ________ and what that means…
- How has God’s Plan become twisted? (Romans 1; 8:1-8)
- How do we come back into agreement with God’s Plan? (Galatians 5:25)
Monday Chats Format: To openly address and discuss issues that challenge our sexual identity.
a) how did we get there?, b) what are the symptoms, and the framework of recovery?, c) vulnerable and issue driven testimonies, and d) group discussion.
Goals:
- To keep this series focused on the individual, first.
- To impact teens through adults both single and married.
- To teach to the understanding of who I am sexually.
