When I was a kid, my family and I owned a small 6 person cabin cruiser. For the few years that we owned this boat, we enjoyed many weekends on the water. One of the more stressful aspects of boating for me was the launch. I found it nerve-racking and exciting all at the same time. Once the boat was launched, however, we could enjoy cruising on the lake.
Our new series, Moving From Sex to Sexuality, launched last weekend. This launch has also been very exciting and very stressful, all at the same time. It’s also required a lot of hard work. But I am looking forward to cruising to where God is leading us together.
If you were here last week, you experienced the Sunday morning teaching from a different perspective. I am thrilled at the depth of material the Teaching Team has created and I am delighted to be team teaching with Jill.
More of the same is coming this weekend. Jill and I will be bringing the second message, titled "God Created Men and Women in His Image." We are working to address the religious and cultural myths that pervade our understandings.
I want to encourage you to read and pray through the first three chapters of Genesis, as you personally prepare for this series.
Join us as we work to further understand that God created our sexuality, which is our God-created passion to be fully connected. I am being stretched and I am praying that you are being stretched as well.
