Six Flags…my kids love the roller coasters and the thrilling rides! Me…I like watching them on the rides and keeping both of my feet on the ground.
Before we make a Six Flags trip, the kids spend so much energy talking about their excitement that I wonder if the experience will really match up to their expectations. In their anticipation they are experiencing longing which, according to
www.dictionary.com, is a strong, persistent desire or craving, especially for something unattainable or distant. We can experience this sense of longing if we are away from home or loved ones for a prolonged period of time.
We also experience a longing that flows from our God-created passion to live as we were originally created to live before the curse if sin. This weekend we are working to answer the questions we have about this longing.
Speaking of questions, many of you have been asking questions in this series. We have worked to answer your questions individually, and we will answer more consistently asked questions this weekend during the teaching.
